Cabinet congratulates MPs, eyes cooperation 14

KUWAIT CITY, July 28, (KUNA): The Cabinet has congratulated the winners of the 2013 National Assembly (parliament) elections, wishing them best of luck in their missions to contribute to Kuwait’s national development process. The cabinet hoped that both legislative and executive authorities would work together to tackle issues and fulfill the expectations and hopes of the Kuwaiti people for comprehensive development, Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs and Minister of State for Municipal Affairs Sheikh Mohammad Abdullah Al-Mubarak Al-Sabah said in remarks following an extraordinary cabinet meeting held in Al-Seif Palace. During the meeting, presided over by His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Jaber Al-Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, the ministers voiced wishes that major achievements would be made in all fields in the coming stage, he said.

Convene
The cabinet decided to convene the newly elected National Assembly for the first ordinary session of the 14th legislative term on Aug 6, the minister added. The cabinet reviewed the ministers’ resignation to be presented to His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah. HH the prime minister thanked the ministers for their great efforts during the last period and their sincere cooperation for serving the nation and citizens at a critical time that was full of local and regional events, Sheikh Mohammad said.
