ISLAMABAD, Dec 10 (KUNA) — Kuwaiti-Pakistani ties are “excellent and fruitful” especially after His Highness the Prime Minister’s recent visit to Pakistan, which resulted in signing a number of pacts and agreements, the Deputy Speaker of Kuwaiti National Assembly said Tuesday.
Mubarak Al-Kurinij made this remark after his meeting with Pakistani Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on the fringes of the 6th Plenary Session of the Asian Parliamentary Association (APA).
The Parliament’s deputy speaker told KUNA that he relayed the greetings of the Kuwaiti leadership to the Pakistani premier and expressed aspiration for the latter to pay a visit to the State of Kuwait in the foreseeable future. He hoped that the two countries’ parliament members to exchange visits as well.
Al-Kurinij stressed that the visit made by His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Jaber Al-Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah to Pakistan eliminated many obstacles that faced the two countries. It resulted in the signing of pacts that aimed at serving the best interest of both countries; these pacts facilitated the visits of Pakistani businessmen to Kuwait as well as brining indispensable Pakistani manpower to Kuwait ….
