KUWAIT: Kuwait collected nearly KD5 million from traffic tickets last month, posting a significant increase that security sources attributed to the extensive campaigns led by the General Traffic Department during the past number of weeks.
The insiders who spoke to Al-Rai on the condition of anonymity believe that this year’s income from traffic violations could reach KD50 million, which will be nearly double the average annual revenue from traffic tickets, normally pegged between KD25 million and KD30 million.
