‘Iqama’ Violators To Be Fished Out From Every Nook & Corner 14

KUWAIT CITY, Aug 20: The Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor said it has begun intensive campaigns to arrest violators of labor and residence laws, reports Al-Seyassah daily quoting reliable sources.

The daily added the ministry is also targeting the visa traders. The sources said clear instructions have been given by the Minister of Social Affairs and Labor Zhikra Al- Rashidi to inspectors not to be lenient with anyone and that she is determined to put an end to the phenomenon of visa traders and recruitment of more menial workers.

The sources added that the inspectors have been given instructions to inspect all establishments big and small without distinction, in addition to work sites and housing quarters. .The sources said the violators will be deported and the files of companies hiring illegal workers will be closed.
